Alfredo's passion for metal art can easily be seen in his sculptures. They visually express the emotions involved with creating art from the heart. As a young boy, I was always fascinated by doing projects that challenged my creativity. I would always find the toughest ways to do simple tasks, as long as they were creative. Most of my complicated designs were impossible to materialize for a child of my age, but they helped me to keep my mind occupied and my imagination running at high speed. Through all these years, I have kept that attitude in my mind. Therefore, even though I developed my career in business, it is in art that I have found the best way to fulfill my passion for creation. The three-dimensionality in which the ideas develop in my mind and my interest in working with metals has transformed me into an ardent metal sculptor. Sometimes, I like to mix metal with stone or wood to incorporate the energy of the natural world. But, it is the whole process of using fire, hammering, welding, and chemical reactions that has made metal sculpting a fascination for me. In my art, I materialize all the forms that my mind creates out of feelings, experiences, and observations that inspire me. I like my sculptures to spell out a message. Therefore, the connection between form and title embody a subtle but genuine meaning. To subdue the most inanimate material in the world and transform it into a form capable of moving the spectator's feelings is my ultimate aspiration. That is why I do not create art for the wondering minds; I create art for the understanding hearts. My main objective is to make my art pieces introduce themselves to the spectators, and to tell them a real story. So, by the time the persons leave the space they do not leave behind a sculpture, they leave behind an experience and a relationship.
